11 months old
I’m a week late on this but Livie was sick last week so better late than never. My photography OCD tendencies did not agree with this but I can only do so much. I usually take pictures of Livie (as I did with Hannah) on the day she turns a new month. This is the 1st month since she was born that I wasn’t able to. I’ll be sure to document this in her baby book as “you were sick so your mom was almost a week late getting your 11 month picture. Thanks for effing up her photography OCD bliss” or something to that nature.
So yeah, 11 months. Almost a year old. Less than a month to plan her 1st birthday party and 1st birthday party outfit and 1st birthday photos. Talk about overwhelming. Almost 1. 11 months old.
In this month Livie grew enough hair to finally clip a tiny bow in her hair without using a headband. She really started to hate those headbands hence the lack of bows the past few months. Now that’s all about to change. Thank God. I had a hard time dealing with a bald baby after Hannah had TONS of hair. This post isn’t about Hannah but I just have to show the hair difference for reference sake:
Also, the older Livie gets, the more she looks like Hannah did. Go figure. They looked like total opposites as tiny babies.
So with age Livie has decided she better stock up on bullying her big sister because there will be a day when Hannah will bully her.
But then she decided to play nice.
The summary: my kids are getting older which means *I* am getting older. I feel like there’s still so much more to do and yet when I look at them…what more is there?

I think that not taking at least one picture on the actual day is unforgivable!! Just kidding, but I totally understand the OCD thing on the picture taking – I have been taking belly pictures every two weeks and if I don’t take them on the Friday, on the day, I get pissy about it. I have had to take a few on the Saturday after the week changes, but I have not noted it on the pictures themselves, so I can’t remember which ones are on the off days!! I am sure that I will be the same way with Mary once she is here! Having more Braxton-Hicks as of late – hope this means she will be coming soon

Adorable as always. I feel your pain with the no hair thing. Maya had next to no hair forever, still doesn’t have all that much. She was easily a year and a half before I as able to get a bow in her hair.
Can’t wait to see the beautifulness that will be 1 year photos.

My daughter will 18 months in just a few days and she still doesn’t have much hair. I can’t wait until I can put it up in pigtails, but we still have a long time to go before that can happen.
