About 9 months ago Hubs’ cousin asked me if I would like to be in her wedding. With total admiration I said yes. I never would have thought that one of his cousins would want me to be in their wedding especially when there’s so much other family that’s closer. But she said she wanted all her cousins or cousin’s wives in the wedding and I said yes immediately. It’s always an honor to me when someone asks me to be in their wedding. I’ve only been in 2 other ones so it’s not something I take lightly. So Wednesday last week we flew up to Ohio. When I say that the weekend was one of the most fun weekends I’ve had in forever, I mean it. So fun that I barely took any pictures! I was so busy running around doing bridesmaid-y things and my camera is huge and a pain in the ass to carry around so I’m excited to see the professional pictures because I know I’m in a lot of those. What I did take pictures of?

The tea party me, Hubs’ sister (who was also in the wedding) and Hubs’ mom threw for the bride Friday morning. It was so fun to plan and just such a great time hanging with everyone before the big day.

I did get a lot of pictures of everyone there and the bride but since I don’t like to post pictures of other people except me or the girls I really can’t put them in here. But she was beaming and glowing and you could just tell she couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle the next day.

The afternoon of the wedding brought all of us bridesmaids together to help the bride get dressed. Her dress was seriously one of the most beautiful gowns I’ve ever seen and getting it on her was no easy task. 2 huge slips and a gorgeous dress….it was a 6 person mission.

I only got to see my mom and sister’s twice and only saw 1 friend while I was home. But that was ok. The wedding was amazing and it was so great to see all of Hubs’ family and spend time with everyone. We plan to go back at Thanksgiving again like last year and I’m already so excited about it. I’m so blessed to have married into such a great family who loves me like I’ve always been there.

Today I’m struggling to get back into my daily routine so I’ve been looking at the pictures over and over again from the weekend because yes, it was THAT good.
