We traded in our busy, vacation week last week to a calm, home week this week. We even skipped the pool today. Instead we’ve logged hours on the couch watching lots of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and playing with pets.

I thought about maybe going to the park but decided that after a few minutes out back it’s too hot, per usual. Livie, who picked out her own footwear by the way, said as soon as we walked outside “It’s too hot.” Agreed.

Don’t get me wrong though. I love summer. I’d rather sweat daily in temps over 95 for months and months as we do than shiver from the cold. Lucky for us, it’s not really cold here ever and if it is, it’s only for a few weeks. So for the rest of the day we are going to relax in the AC and log a few more hours on the couch. Even Hannah, who usually complains about being bored, hasn’t said a word about it.

Speaking of Instagram, one of my favorite celebs Emmy Rossum (I hyperlinked her name in case you live in a hole and don’t know who she is) hosted a super cool interactive event on Instagram for her and her fans to interact. It was an hour event where we posted pictures in categories she listed and afterward she picked winners from each category and an overall winner that she’d send the back of her director’s chair from her latest movie Beautiful Creatures with her name on it. I didn’t expect to win anything but I definitely wanted to participate because I love her and her Instagram feed is super fun. She’s so down to earth and real. I posted a few pictures in a few categories, including the first picture in my Instagram block today. She liked that picture.

As in opened it, looked at it, and pressed like. I realize that I have blown this up way more than most of y’all would but I don’t care! I am a celeb nut and it was so cool to have someone I REALLY adore take time to like one of my photos, no matter how quick it is to do that. It was a big deal and it made my day.

ANYWAY, my week started off great. Word.
