Livie’s 1st birthday party
So after all the emotional craziness of Friday I had to settle down and focus on my baby girl’s party. A lot of people were coming and a lot of preparations had to be made. I left work early on Friday and got busy.
First I decided to take some pictures of Livie on her actual birthday and before her party. I originally wanted to do these outside but it was so cold and wet so we did them inside. She would NOT sit still or pose for me so this is the best one I got. To be continued with this because I’m determined to get some of her outside with this tutu on. It’s just too cute to NOT, right?
It was finally Saturday morning…the day of her big party. It wasn’t looking too hot for her apparently at the start.
But then she noticed her dress.
Then she was ready to party.
Big sister Hannah…ALSO ready to party.
(every pose Hannah does is dance related. It still baffles me as to why she actually wants to quit but that’s another post for another day.)
Time to head to Nana’s house to get this party started! We had to set the cakes out.
Livie played while we did all this.
I figured I better get a picture with her before the craziness.
Then it was time to open presents!
Then we sang happy birthday to my not so tiny baby.
After that, it was time for her favorite part of the day. CAKE TIME!
Everything went so well. Livie was so happy and loved her party. It was full of great memories
Homemade obsessions
I’ve blogged before about my obsessions with Etsy.com and having stuff homemade for the girls. You’ve seen the pictures. You’ve read about the way I’m totally sucked in. I’m sure I’ve told y’all before but my cousin makes all of Liv’s bows too which I’m ALSO obsessed with because I like to have bows to match all her outfits. I was not a bow freak with Hannah but that’s because she had tons and tons of crazy thick curly hair. I don’t know what happened in the 6 years I waited for Liv but yeah, THIS child has like no hair. It’s been a hard adjustment for me who’s used to tons and tons of hair on my OWN head and fighting with Hannah with all of HER hair…hm, maybe this bald baby thing isn’t such a bad concept. ANYWAY, so I’m obsessed with her bows too because she needs SOMETHING on her head and accessories are cute. Liv turns 9 months on Thursday so I decided to do a mini photo shoot with her this weekend–plus I could showcase all the cute stuff she’s got.

Here’s the bow close up. She’s so bad ass. If you want to get in touch with her, email me. I can get you her info!

A friend of mine made this shirt for her. And my cousin did the bow!

All this right here is why I’ve grounded myself until January from Etsy.com I had to. Otherwise, Christmas would be scarce in my house. Actually, I think it might already be. Freakin Etsy….
