It was fall for 2 days
Here in steamy Texas we look forward to Fall and Spring because that’s the only time of year when the weather is perfect. You know, high’s in the 70′s or low 80′s and little humidity. So this weekend the weather decided to be an asshole and skip the nice part of fall and sort of delve into early winter weather with rain for DAYS (causing me to cancel my 1st paid photo session!!!!) and the highs were only in the mid 60′s. Now, since it was over 95 for like 3 1/2 months you can imagine how chilly 65 felt. We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend.. I bundled up my girls like it was 40 degrees. Don’t hate. By the way, Liv is 8 months old today. Her birthday is creeping up on me. Actually it’s running at me full force. I try not to think about this as it makes me want to cry. Anyway so yes, don’t hate. I know that 65 isn’t cold. But when Hannah said “I’m FREEEEEEZINGGGGG” I knew it was time to bust out the winter gear.

*And today’s high? 83. Yeah.*
7 months
Over the weekend Nimmie turned 7 months old. I don’t even want to discuss exactly HOW fast this is all going by. It depresses me. So, I decided to take some fun pictures of her instead. Since I’m still learning how to shoot indoors, I did them like that. But I SO miss my outdoor photography. I’m so doing that this weekend. Happy 7 months Nimmie!
I have a 6 month old!
Nimmie turned 6 months old yesterday. 6 months old! I can’t believe that 6 months ago I was in labor without knowing it for hours. I can’t believe 6 months ago I held my tiny 5lb 13oz 17 1/2 inch baby for the first time. When I think about our lives and how much we have…how awesome our kids are…wow. Just wow. We are truly blessed.
3 months
Today Nimmie is 3 months old. I can’t believe how fast time has gone and how much more she’s doing now in just the past couple weeks. I don’t have to work for 15 minutes for a 1/2 of a smile. she smiles all the time even if you just look at her funny. we can already tell that she has a different personality than Nettie…it’s weird when you have a new baby and it’s nothing like your first child- mostly because all you have to go on IS your first child so you can’t picture your second one to be different than your first one.
a couple days shy of 3 months old

she’s changed a lot. but not nearly as much as Nettie changed in her 1st year that’s for sure. i’ll have to do a compare/contrast post another day.
Happy 3 months Nimmie!
Thank you all
for being understanding. i think i’m just in a funk. i’m sure once i get back to work and in a regular routine i’ll be back to blogging as normal. but being home all day…i barely get on the computer and blogging just isn’t on the top of my list. at work i have plenty of time to be online…make sense? i promise to read up on your blogs as soon as i get back to work- which is may 4. i’m very sad about this. just 2 1/2 weeks left at home. i’d give anything to be a stay at home mom. and it’s even worse because i thought i might be able to do that last year. and as you all know that’s just not happening these days. ah well. it could be a lot worse, right?
so Nimmie turned 2 months old on sunday. craziness.
