Family love
I love my family immensely. And here’s why.
We all go out together and have such an awesome time. There were 10 of us. 8 of us are related. We brought some new people into our Space Rockers groupie status. I freakin love these guys!
I love that after a fun night out I can come home to these girls.
My family.
I love that I had my point and shoot out before I took those 2 pictures and Livie didn’t know what to do. She stood there and kept following my camera around. It’s obvious that I don’t use a point and shoot often with this girl. So getting this picture was hard. But it’s so cute!
She loves her dolls which makes me happy.
My family makes me happy. They are what home is to me.
My Freetime
Lately, thanks to The Man’s awesome mom, we’ve been getting some freetime together. Movies, dinners, vacations, parties, bars…we’ve done it all in the past month and I LOVE IT. We used to do that stuff a lot when we just had Hannah but throwing Livie into the mix halted our social lives greatly. We’re getting it back now slowly and I forgot how much I missed it! This past weekend we went to a local pub and fell in love with the band that was playing. You must check out The Space Rockers because they ROCKED! They were dressed up in tight spandex with capes and helmets and crazy hair but OMG they were amazing. They played ALL hip hop LIVE and danced on stage and we all just freakin loved them. SO MUCH. I want to be a groupie and follow them all around Texas. For real.
When we first walked in and I heard Ice Ice Baby I was like ok, these guys are cool. When they sang The Cupid Shuffle I fell in love. Nelly. Flo Rida. Snoop dogg. All my favorite hip hop songs coming from a group of nerdy white guys dressed in crazy outfits…pure genius. We danced our asses off all night long and took silly pictures and pretended like we were 21 all over again.
I love being a mom to my girls. They are what completes me and makes my life whole and fabulous. But every now and then I like to send them off to Nana’s and have a night out with MORE people that I love and make my life fabulous. Most people go out with a group of friends. Not us. We go out with family. The Man’s brother and sister and cousin and their significant others….This is why I always say that most my friends HAVE to be online. I have an amazing life with my family here. I have a handful of close friends I see here that I go out with or do things with outside from my family. But 90% of the time I’m with my family.
And I love it.
What I did this weekend
This weekend was the kinda weekend the stuff of life is made of. A little family time, a little dance time, a little friend time and it all added up to the kind of weekend I’ve been needing. I was busy but I was happy. It was a weekend of phone/point and shoot pictures. The kind of busy/ go place to place weekend that had me leaving my big camera at home and toting around cheaper, more compact cameras. And yet, the moments were still captured.
Hannah had her last dance competition of the season this weekend. It was kind of bittersweet to know she wasn’t going to wear that costume anymore or perform that dance anymore. I went through this last season too. She danced well though and the whole team went out with a bang.
After the competition I rushed home to change and get ready to go on my first bachelorette party ever. I know that I’m almost 30 and the thought of me NEVER going on a bachelorette party is craziness but it’s true. Most of my friends have either gotten married young like me, or they got married in Ohio after I moved away, or they were already married after I moved down here. So I was super excited about going…mostly because I’ve been super excited for my friend’s wedding which is FINALLY here THIS WEEKEND. So we got dressed up in either black or red and headed out in a limo for the night.
I’m also convinced that I have the hottest friends. Truly.
And at the end of the night I grabbed the bride to be for one last picture before going home and passing out at 3:30 am. It was the kind of night I haven’t had in years. It was awesome.
And in the quiet of a Sunday afternoon Livie decided to grace us with her cuteness. I wish I DID have my big camera out to get these pictures because they’d be less blurry and more vivid but nonetheless, the pictures were taken.
And remember how I told you about how much she loved Hannah’s Nintendo DS? I FINALLY got a picture of her playing with it. You can tell she loves it!
It wasn’t an extraordinary weekend. It was just the kind of weekend I needed. I’m already looking forward to this coming weekend where we’ll watch our friends get married on Saturday and spend Sunday getting family pictures done while loving on our baby girls.
Today, I’m loving life.
Why i need rehab and yay Nettie’s party!
i did stop drinking though for Nettie’s party. she LOVED it and loved her gifts!
on the new bike we got her!
and our “lovely” singing to Nettie lol
so i think my problem with booze is this—when i’m at home with Hubs and Nettie i feel like a responsibile 20 something mother. as soon as i dont have Nettie, i turn into a 21 year old drunken dingbat. do they have therapy for that?!
Holy Shiz
last nite was so great. we had THE BEST time…the limo was kick ass, dinner was fantastic and dancing was so fun. i put all the pictures here but here’s a few to give you a taste!
