I guess it’s different for us because I’m super close with M’s mom. We did spend the evening with her. I had my morning and afternoon and then the whole family came over in the evening and we made steaks and ate dinner
So it was still balanced and still nice. We spend every MD with his mom in the evening

Sounds like a really wonderful day spent with your family. You really deserve it to be YOUR day, for sure. Along those lines, you live close to your husband’s mom, right? How did you get away without spending the day with her? I am struggling, because I don’t want to ignore the fact that my husband’s family lives near us and that my family wants to celebrate my motherhood, but if you asked me to envision my perfect day, it wouldn’t involve any of them. Just trying to find some balance…

I just couldn’t stand the thought of the crib going to goodwill or to someone I didn’t know. Co sleeping is truly awesome and I’ll be sad when she moves on into her room, even though we know she has to at some point!

I love being home so much! I hate that I have to even work part time come fall BUT at least Livie will still be with me all day and it’s only 20 hours a week. That I can do You understand though!

I know exactly what you mean giving away that last little bit of babyhood is extremely hard. But how sweet of you to bless someone else with that beautiful crib. My baby is 4 and we co-slept with her. It’s such a sweet time but each new stage is wonderful too!

I can’t believe how big the kids are getting. so adorable. Don’t you love being able to stay home and watch them grow :0 I am getting a night time part time job so I can continue to stay home with mine. I so totally get what you mean with the kids and family. I have three, we are so done. (as in I CAN”T have any more, but STIll lol) doesn’t make it easy all the time. Hugs

Yes we are an iPhone family! Go to settings to general to restrictions. You have to make up a code but you can lock down a lot from there!
